In the 1950’s James “Gurnie” Horton founded J.G. Builder and started building in the Tidewater area. In 1963 one of Gurnie's three sons Jim joined him and they together became incorporated and named the Corporation J.G. Horton and Son Construction Corporation. They believed that quality workmanship was essential in being a builder. As the business grew Gurnie’s third son Howard joined the Corporation and helped his father and brother manage the office and field work. In 1987 Howard's son Keith joined the firm and is now the owner and President. Now with over 55 years of construction experience J.G. Horton and Son Construction Corporation continues to be a family owed and operated business where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction continues to this day.
